This is very sobering my friend. Thank you for sharing this. Some friends and classmates of mine are on that wall too. All who served gave some....Some who served gave it all! We are the land of the free because of the brave.

I was too young for Vietnam, but one of my buddy's older brothers went & never came home. When I saw his name on the wall the first time (& every time since), it hit me like a gut punch that I wasn't expecting. It went all the way through to my soul...still does. *Crying as I type this* It's been 50 years since we got the word, but it still hurts like it was yesterday. I always expected him to be one who made it home. Thanks for posting this. Thank you to all who served.

when it comes to Nam, I always feel guilty because I didn't serve. When I was about 13 or 14 I tore my knee just below the knee cap and it messed up all the nerves on the outside of my leg from above to below the knee and to this day I still can't put my knee down on any hard surface.
Thanks to all of you that did serve as I appreciate all you've done for our country.

No need for anybody to feel guilty about not being able to serve. God had other plans for you. I was only able to serve one tour in 1970 but I joined the army in 1964. I would do it all over again if I had to.
