Look out NC, free fishing day

So NC has a free fishing day on the 4th, no license needed, so with a SC license you can fish the whole lake Wylie. I'm going to Cane Creek with my buddy Lee when the gate opens and try to catch a few for a fish fry on Saturday. hopefully Lee has a good report from today. I am going to try to lure them in by hanging a 20# bag of ice of the side of the boat.

Got 13 in the boat but only kept 9 crappie. Just got home and trying to get some a/c in my veins before I plug the batteries back in for the charger

What was the water temp down there?
Seems I have the best luck when it's hot, but I can only fish till 11 or so then it's just too hot for me

I wish I had known you guys we're going tomorrow before I made plans to go striper chasing. Are you gonna pull the crankbaits or live bait ? Jedi I feel like Lee can bring the fish home for the fry, but just in case if you need more,just holler St your neighbor east of ya,he has some in the freezer, OR, just invite him to the fish fry!!!. I was just trying to get better at longlining. We are going to spider rig some spots I think will hold fish.
