I’ve had to ride out several of those. 50-60 mph winds from calm in seconds. One of the reasons I got a bay with self bailing scuppers.

20 miles long and 3 miles wide. Only a hand full of spots to get into to get out of the waves. 10 mph wind is a no go out there. Anything over that and your asking for trouble. Waves get up with a couple minutes.

Enid will fool you but much smaller . Sardis a big bowl where Grenada is elongated . Worst I ever was in was at Pickwick . Two miles wide at Bruton Branch . Second was Choctaw on Grenada . Fishing solo and # 10 at the ramp is no fun . Without guys helping ,I would have never got it off the bank and on trailer . If you fish alone you better really watch the weather .

Glad all went right for you. Sardis is one scary lake when it blows up.
