    Mine give me great images at all speeds except on plane. I have transom transducer mounted pretty high so it doesn't get damaged but is in aerated water on plane. Most folks recommend matching scroll speed to mph.

    I have di and 2 d at front and fish bp much,I can see the fish on di while I got TM on spot lock,it's always s mater of learning what your unit is telling you

    I run mine on lowest speed on trolling motor and like 5 mph with 5 on unit for side scanning on main unit .

    Mine works well enough at .4 MPH to show me shell cracker in the beds.

    I am different when I run SI as I always am looking for fish and not structure, so I will run my SI scroll speed at 10 much of the time. For me this elongates fish marks and shadows, makes them easier to pick out. Once I find fish I may go back to match boat speed to scroll speed to better understand how and what they are relating to.
