You are going to love the 93sv. Make sure you get a 32gb micro sd card for pics and software updates. I saw them on sale for $599. What a deal. One aspect i love is being able to track my gas mileage with this unit.

That is almost 'to the number' for the settings I have cranked in on my 93sv chirp (non-plus) for imaging. Working quite well for me. This being on a clearer lake with a slightly harder bottom than the lake I fish mostly in the summer. I always have to change things to optimize returns for the shallower, more fertile lake then. Gotta be willing to change things thru out the day and with changing ambient and water conditions. Or not. The prices for this same unit now are quite a value to me. No doubt newer is better but these are easy to use, good units.

Thanks for the settings info! I had been running around 90% on brightness and my contrast was Auto Medium. I'm looking to get back out a couple afternoons this week and will try the above recommended settings.

I paid $599 for my 73sv CHIRP late last fall so a 93 at that price is awesome.

After finally deciding to go over this area with my sonar, I now see why I always catch crappie at this site. Fence line with lots of brush around it.

this is another aspect I love about this unit. I always wondered how much mpg I was getting before I got this unit. This unit keeps track of it all. Awesome feature.

If my memory server me correct, its on the homescreen, then select gauges, then select trip and you will get this info. While on this screen you can hit menu and have the options to reset the info if you like.

FishRanger, these all are the best images I have seen for a Garmin. I bet this thread sold a lot of Garmins
