There is public access on the north & south shore. North shore behind the police department has the most access I’ve not fished it much on the north side so I can’t speak for how good it is up there. But I did get some perch on the north shore when I did fish it. Now the lakemore side on the south side I have done well with Crappie, perch and gills. It’s a decent amount of public shore not as much as the north side but a good amount. Definitely worth a look if your wanting to try new waters.

Heads up it’s heavily watched by law enforcement on both sides of the lake and ODNR is commonly around there as well. I know it’s not a problem for you because I’ve fished with you and your legit. This statement was for others who may be reading this and getting ideas who may not be as on the up&up as us.

I was just looking at a map of it on ODNR website. I didn't know there was a public park over there on the Lakemore side. I thought it was a private park for the residents of Lakemore. It maybe a place I check out today. I'll be getting bundled up and ready to go here in a few. I'm assuming you're allowed to wade over there?

Got out this morning and hit up Silver creek. Only fish caught was a 15" channel cat. Fished some sunken trees and docks. Used baby shade in variety of colors. In need of some warm weather so I can get the boat out.

Silver creek can be a tough place. The fish are there but they are finicky from my experiences there.

Yes I agree. This was my first time fishing open water. ive caught some nice fish through the ice there. A lot of shad.

I’ve been saying for 3 years I’m gonna Ice fish over there and never get around to it. I bet it’s nice being that it doesn’t get much pressure in the winter.

Made it out to a Local Lake today, and I feel like I'm starting to develop a relationship with. Sometimes I love it, and other times I swear there isn't a fish in it! Stared today about 11:30 this morning and fished till about 4:00 this afternoon. Had to deal with the eyelets freezing up for the first couple hours. Today I couldn't find the desired crappies I was looking for. I did however find some nice gills and redears. Brought home a few for me and the little woman to enjoy when we are kid free for a night. All fish caught today where taken on a black 1/16 oz jig head with a black and white gulp minnow about 12 - 18" under a bobber.
