    Default Guntersville dam

Fished the wall today got there about 930 started where wall ends and after 15 min I moved to the corner and found them 10-13 foot deep all caught on 1/24 with monkey, left with my limit about 330 and left the fish biting.

Nice. I’ve only fished the damn once and that was for bream but I was fishing off the rip rap. We’re you actually fishing against the wall per se?

Nice work! Fishing below dams is a lost art. Glad to see some people can still catch them

I struggle catching crappie along those walls. I can find them in other locations, but getting them to bite along the walls has always been a challenge. Any pointers?

Finding them is the big thing and finding the depth which from the Bank using the countdown method I always first cast in whatever spot I’m at if I’m throwing a jig is let it go to bottom and count it down to get an idea how deep it is. Then I usually start with a little over halfwaycount down.. example 18 count to bottom I start with 11-13 count.. if no bite I shorten it a couple seconds until I find the depth they are staged at
