There is a motel on the SW side of Newkirk. Plenty of room for boat parking.

………………..Spring Cleaning Time! Now is the time to clean out your boat, garage or storage unit of the fishing related stuff that you don’t need or want, shouldn’t have bought in the first place or quite using years ago. Bring it to Camp and sell or trade for more stuff. Hat55 (aka Kent Perkins in campsite #50) is the man in charge, so see him at Camp for more details.

SATURDAY….6:30 PM - FISH FRY (Note: this is the only Group meal at the Camp)

Crappie ………We will be cooking Crappie that we catch at the Camp. Bring extra if you have little faith in our ability to catch enough fish. (however, BigFin can eat a lot of fish and hushpuppies).

There is rain chances about everyday next week but they are predicting less than an inch total in the area. Water temp is ranging around 55 to 57 deg. Lake is in great shape. Some murky water on the north end due to the high winds. Fishing is good right now in 10 to 25 fow along drop offs and in brush piles. Best bite for us has been on big shiners

Yes crappie camp is open to everyone. As long as you like hanging out with some good people who on occasion will stretch the truth...but just about the fish..lol
