I bought an Xi5 Motorguide in Nov 2017 and it's been nothing but trouble since I've had it. Haven't fished a whole day since I've had it. The headlock on the first one wouldn't work and they could not fix it. So after months motorguide replaced it with a new one. After Bass Pro put the new one on I went fishing, motor quit about 3 hours later. Took it back to Bass Pro and they said the panel board needed replacing. So as of right now its at Bass Pro. This motor has cost me more money traveling back and forth for repairs and talking to Motorguide on the phone 20 times. Don't go with Xi5 Motorguide!!!

No problems with mine(yet), seems there's just as many problems with Minn Kota, like with anything else you buy you take your chances on getting a good one. Cant really call all of anything bad if a minority of a product produced has problems, Minn Kota spot lock had a bad rep for not holding location but doesn't make them all bad now.
Why are you spamming this all over the forum??
instead of an opinion it just makes it sound like you have a personal issue with the manufacturer.
He does have a personal issue with the manufacturer. Since Nov 2017 he has been frustrated about having an inoperable new trolling motor. I would be frustrated also. These manufacturers take the accolades and when there products fail to perform they need to make it right. I like hearing from all buyers good or bad and especially regarding customer service after the sale. But that’s just me.

Yea exactly!!! U should keep stuff like that to yourself! That way the rest of us can buy a terrible product and waste our money like u did and not be satisfied with what we buy. Heaven forbid someone give us a heads up about a crappy crappie product...

Had mine for over a year. I fish an average of 16 to 24 hours a week (retired) never had a lick of a problem with mine. Did find out you should use Lithium batteries in the remote.
Corncob thanked you for this post
I like hearing that Granite. Hopefully hammerhead unfortunate experience was just that. I like 95% of What reviews I’ve read. Think I’ll still take my chances with one soon.
