2018 GEEZER CAMPS - Kaw Lake Geezer camp, OK

On another note, for those of you that use minnows, my daughter-in-law now operates JR's Texaco in Shidler, Ok, which is 8 miles east of Sarge Creek. She sells minnows by weight not by the dozen. I will list the prices below for you. To give you an idea, a 1/4 lb is around 3 dozen minnows so it's a good deal. She is also adding new crappie baits everyday that will include Redneck Rubber Co Beaver Bottom baits, Bobby Garland, Mr. Crappie and Strike King etc. She plans to have a full selection in the next couple of weeks. I will list the store number if you want to call ahead. Boats hooked up heading to the water shortly.

1/4 lb - 4.00
1/2 lb - 8.00
3/4 lb -12.00
1 lb - 15.50

crappie mac and dkv Jayhawkers from Kansas plan on seeing all you old Geezers again this year. had a great time at broken bow last year. any recommendations on where to stay. we will not be camping.

Not sure but thinking closest town would be ponca city as I don't think kaw city has any motels and not sure about newkirk....glad to hear some other jayhawker are coming as we need the numbers...lol

Hey sd think Ima jigger probably will make it also, don't know whether it will be 2 boats or one. U know!? Looking at staying where Chatt is hole'n up. DK

On the north end of Ponca there is Fairfield Inn, a new La Quinta Inn, Comfort Inn and a Holiday Inn Express. Those are about 14 miles from the boat ramp at Sarge

Think you fellas would find out that Fairfield Inn on the north end of town is close to the same price as the double n plus it would save having to drive through Ponca everyday from the south end
