I would bite the bullet and drain it. Use old gas in lawnmowers and the like. Get a bunch of fellas with gas cans to take help you out; its gona take a lot of cans...
Need some advice.
I haven't been able to go fishing in ~18 months due to that 4 letter word "work".
I had filled up my tank with gas (~35 gal) prior to this prolonged storage. Fuel stabilizer (Yamaha) was added at that time.
I run two engines, one fuel injected (Yamaha F115) and one with carburetor (T8).
Since it has been quite awhile, and the fuel stabilizer states it is good for 6 months, will it harm my engines to run with "old gas", or should I drain and start fresh? I hate to waste $100, but engine repairs are more costly.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
I fish; therefore I am.

I’m with Ice, drain it, better safe than sorry.

Anyplace to pull a sample and take it to for evaluation?
As fragile as the combustion additives are, 18 months will definitely affect the performance of the fuel. If the gas had alcohol ,you might experience problems with the carb engine as plastic parts get very brittle. Bottom line is the gas has to be freshen up to have complete combustion. Pump half out and refill with adding a carb/injector cleaner. I kinda like seafoam product. Hope this helps.<*)}}}><
drain it dont use it in a lawn mower as it will be bad in it also.
I put stabil in a motorcycle and left it for 16 months while I was in the 'Stans. Once I got back home and spring came around it fired right up. It ran fine, until I put in a ditch.

All,
Many thanks for the advice.
I'll probably go with Chatt's middle of the road solution.

If anything id mix it 50/50 with fresh gas. Put the in your truck and it be fine either way. I leave gas in my duck-boat all year. And I t run fine with stabilizer in it

All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.
