360 for me, I haven’t tried the pan optics. However I like to see all around me. See fish behind me, I can go get em.

I'm thinking the 360 serves me better. I can throw a 90' net with it. I've seen its capabilities. I would need to fish it I guess to trust it. I know a crappie master pro that switched to it and has been sucking wind since actually.
John, won’t you lose most of your targeting and ability to go straight to em if you go transom mount

Watched a fishing show yesterday. They were using it ice fishing. Pretty cool how they used it to find fish then watch them come take the bait. Kinda didn’t understand what I was seeing but think after a short time you could figure out exactly what you were seeing on screen.
saw one on the water this past weekend. Fella pulled up and I saw his 360 ducer on the back, asked how he liked it... Said he uses the bird for maps only now, trolled over and showed me the garmin unit. Shining my baits, finding suspended fish all around my boat, it has convinced me to get on as soon as budget allows. I will go with the PS-21, 40 degree beam and either a 7 or 9" unit. probably just run the garmin up front with the TM ducer. he said you can watch fish follow your baits for 15 feet before they strike, dive or swim around the boat as you approach, and fish structure like no other.
Ralo79 thanked you for this post
I am having a Garmin 92sv Echomap plus and Panoptix 22 tr this week. I can not wait until I can get on Grenada Lake and see how it will work on those three pound crappie.
