I know a guy in the Florida panhandle that guides out of a G3 Sportsman 200 with a Yamaha 175. Handles chop decently with the 15 degree deadrise as he does inshore trips when his clients want to chase specks or reds.

That kind of budget would buy a nice used glass boat . I've fished out of tin boats all my life . I hope my next boat is glass . Wind is a big factor with tin boat .

Old man boat, I fish a 754vs Wareagle stick steer with a 50 Yamaha 4 stroke. But if I was to buy a new boat tomorrow it would be that sea arc 20 ft catfish boat with 140 Suzuki. Appears to be the most versatile boat out there right now.

Weighed and weighed options. And service of dealers. I really like the front deck of the sportsman 200 better. A little longer and the livewell on sea ark is placed wrong on front deck.

Also the sportsman is 300 lbs heavier which should offer a better ride.
