    Default Rees: panoptix vs 360

Really missing my 360 but weighing the panoptic also. The 360 is scanning a circle always. The Garmin is scanning where it's pointed which means you will not see as many schools of fish with the Garmin. while trolling in my opinion. What's your thoughts?

Panoptix (bow versions) is a targeting tool by sharing functionality with TM steering control ...

360 is a searching tool with some targeting capability with no physical user input ...

The Panoptix can go as wide as 40 degrees with the right transducer and this fits what I was doing anyway. I always ran my 360 at about 45 degrees aiming forward anyway. The fact that you see depth as well is big and you can see you rigs or jigs pretty easy with it too, this happened with the 360 but not often, water conditions played a big part in that. I'm torn as to whether I want a transom mount or a trolling motor mount, leaning toward the transom at this point.

The display views are as important as the beam coverage in each xducer because each version is not capable of every Panoptix view ...
