Fished with minnows and a slip bobber 2 ft deep in the back of the creek, 4 to 6 ft of water. It was a busy, but very enjoyable day.
That was a real good day in my book.

It sounds like you guys are doing great on LC. I plan on fishing this weekend and I'll let you know how I do. So far my crappie trips on Cumberland have not been good. I own a place in Timber Pointe which is in Jamestown and so far that is where I have been trying to crappie fish. I've tried Pumpkin creek, Greasy creek, and Caney creek with no real success. I could always trailer to Green River and do well, but I'd rather fish LC since I have a place there.

I wonder, am I trying to shove a square peg in a round hole by crappie fishing the west end of the lake? Seems like Fishing creek and larger creeks from Conley on east are where the real crappie action is at. The big tournament always lets out of Burnside. For good reason I assume???

I'm wondering if I should just trailer to the east end and do my spider rigging there. Any thoughts from you seasoned LC veterans would be appreciated. I've been pretty successful at other Kentucky lakes for years but Cumberland is kicking my back side.

I have been fishing green for many years and catch lots and lots of fish. Then about 6 or 7 years ago I started fishing Cumberland just like I fish green and leaving thinking do I know how to catch fish. After about 3 or 4 years being hard headed I started fishing different ways at Cumberland and finally started catching fish. Don't read into where crappie usa tourneys are out of cause it is only the weigh in site you can put in at any ramp on the lake..fishing is easier on the Burnside end of the lake but I catch as many on the other end as I do on Burnside end....
