What size transaxle is on your tractor?
I have a K46 on my Deere, I know some other brands use this one. I looked at a few Utube videos before starting. I washed the inside pretty good and replaced the 30w oil with 20w50, got another year out of it. Looking at parts online, motor and pump I got a new transaxle off ebay a few dollars more.

Wannabe, mine has a safety switch on the brake pedal. Mine is under the battery which is in front of the dash/steering wheel. This one has 4 wires to it, 2 are for the starter and 2 for the PTO.
