you can see them in my youtube videos, my channel name is justahobbyoutdoors. I have hooked 10 plus pound cats and large striper, no problem with sturdiness. Only issue i ever had was a knob that tightens down a individual holder worked loose, luckily all components fell in the boat and not on the road. I absolutely love mine and have four sets in the boat. I went with these so i can take them out st the base plates when i walleye fish in the midwest and had the adjustability i needed for my deep v. Btw i get no kick backs for speaking highly of them, just a satisified customer.

I bought my first set about 3 years ago. I have bought new ones for every boat I have owned since then. I even have two sets to put on my new pontoon as soon as I figure how I want to mount them. I turn rods down till the tips almost touch the water pulling jigs, almost level or a little upright for pulling cranks. I also do a lot of striper and catfishing. Have caught 15+ lb stripers on a 2.5 mph troll, caught 30+ lb catfish on a 1 mph troll and they have never given me any issue. Never have anything else on my boat.

Adjust up-down, side to side and height without tools and they will stay where you put them. I can't imagine anything being any better. Gene is great to work with.

Size: 37.9 KBThey are rock solid, I think Gene designed all / part of these, and they are awesome. On a scale of 1 to 10, these are truly 10, in both design, and quality.i have two of the 4 rod holder type. I also purchased (2) extra mounting plates. I can use the two up front for spider rigging. I then take the (2) poles, mount them on the extra plates, then install the trolling bar that I fabricated, add (6) rod holders, and I can troll out the back.
