I can argue against all your facts Hanr3. So what does my agurments prove as well as yours and what have we accomplished? We have been forced to,accept ethanol added to our gas and that IS a fact.

Read this against ethanol. The Case Against More Ethanol: It's Simply Bad for Environment - Yale E360
    Read this: https://axleaddict.com/misc/Pros-and...Ethanol-in-Gas
    Read this: https://www.bellperformance.com/blog...l-to-your-fuel
Read this: Problems and Disadvantages of Ethanol Alcohol Blend Gasolines - E10.

How many articles against ethanol you want? I haven't proved anything or have I? The only people that are benefiting from ethanol are the manufacturers and the corn industry and all the ag industry in the production of corn. If the seed companies hadn't mixed genetically created corn with reg. corn China wouldn't have canceled their trillion bushel buy and ethanol is the only thing keeping the corn growers alive. But that is another story and fact to argue isn't it? Thank god we have ethanol production to save the farm industry.

My 2012 200 yamaha SHO says in the manual that you can run up to E10. I have used it pretty much for the last 6 years. 200 hours with no issues.

Ethanol IS a strait chain(molecular) alcohol. You can drink ethanol whether it is made from hydrocarbons(oil) or sugars(corn). We used to get it in 55 gallon drums as 100% pure. (200 proof) The taxes would have been enormous except that we had to add a gallon of hexane to it as we opened the drum to make it poisonous. We used it to branch off the molecular chain of a particular copolymer rubber. It is a very good solvent and water absorber/dryer. As I stated earlier , it has not given my outboard any problems in six years. I agree it does not help mileage or power at 10%. I think it is strictly used so much because the corn growers are great at lobbying.(money to congress)

If you could argue against the facts, then they wouldn't be facts.
The OP wanted to know about water in his fuel, 10% ethanol mix.
The answer to his question, is ethanol won't be a problem.

Not only are we paying for ethanol at the pump, we are also paying for it thru our taxes as it's subsidized by the govt. propping it up with payments from the govt. to the manufacturers of ethanol. Why should I pay for,it twice?
