Exteding a transom is not a really big deal for 10hp motor. Google it and you will get a bunch of ideas. If you are doing this to an aluminum boat join tinboats.net and search the forums there for many ideas.
Came across a deal I can't refuse on a long shaft small outboard (9.9).
Small river boat.
Researched some jack plates and seem overpriced for what they are. Most were fixed height, stationary rigs.
Would rather have some options. Especially being I'm new to the motorized game.
I can make one. I have no doubt about that.
I'm just not sure of the stat side of things.
Prob be 2 weeks bf I get started. And even then it'll be a sprawled out questionnaire.
I'll be posting all my questions here and'll appreciate any tips/suggestions.
Be more appreciative of "hey, you're an idget if you don't do this".

There is one stationary the sell just for that size motor. It can be installed to lower short shaft or raise long shaft. Has several holes where you mount to boat. It sets it back just enough to help with lift. You just want cavitation plate even with bottom of boat. Not awake enough to research right now. Let's go fishing.
And after many many hours of reading and working on it, she's alive....kindA

I have the same motor on a 1648 alum hull and love mine. Very easy on gas can make 2 to 3 trips on 6 gal of gas. My 12v 34# thrust trolling motor has plenty of power and 1 battery will last longer than I want to stay. After seeing yours idle on the vidio, I'm gonna have to tune my carborators abit.
Forgot to ask what year is yours, mine is a 1999 model?
Nice, thx for the comment.
I'm ten yrs ahead of you, mines an '89. Dry weight is 100 lbs and the oil injection system has been bypassed on mine
