I would suggest one per area until you determine if the crappie prefer to use it. Crappie do not always take to cover if its not where they want it to be. If they do decide to use the cover you can always go back and add to it later.
I'm going to put out several pallet stake beds (40x48). Any opinions on whether to group them or place one at a time in several locations? Thanks

We stood 8 pallets up and staked them down about a foot from each other in shallow water. When the water covered the pallets it was a hot spot. When the water was dropped in the fall someone used them for a bonfire.
We place 6 or more pallet stake beds to a spot
Looks like you are going to have some great "honey holes" in the future. What did you use to weight them down with and how much weight did you use?

I know it takes a lot of weight to keep the pallets in a specific location especially if the particular body of water has much current. Hope the 2 blocks is enough to keep them on the bottom. Good luck.
