You should have great fishing next week. The weather will be calm and stable. Good luck.
Couple weeks ago I tried north of Wilborn, shut down due to the weather. Then went south past Lithia Springs and had better luck. I suspect things will be reversed while your there. Not sure what the lake level is, however two weeks ago it was flooded and only the high water ramps were open.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
Lake is about 11.5 ft high, drawing down pretty hard. If you can find the big flats/gravel points the walleye/sauger bite is good. PLENTY of whitebass with them to keep the kids entertained.
Just the high water ramps

If you'd like to take a road trip to Ramsey lake, the crappie and gills are absolutely on fire. Can catch them almost anywhere! Way too many crappie in that lake. You will catch a ton of 8 inchers, but if you cast enough you can easily get your 10 fish limit of 9 inch or bigger. The gills are really fat this year, especially the redear. Been catching redear up to 13 inches in same areas as bedding bluegills just in deeper water. Best lures there are either black/chartreuse or black/pink sliders. Also been picking up saugers up to 17 inches on the sliders. If you don't have any luck on Shelbyville, head to Ramsey and it'll be a sure thing. Just make sure you use the colors I just said. No minnows needed there. Also, you cannot use your big motor there except to load. Good luck!
