Taking Dad tomorrow.
He wants to fish with minnows....
I have not used a minnow in nearly 20 years.

Fish were biting like crazy once the sun came out on Saturday. Don't even know how many we caught. Lot's of small ones. We casted jigs at brush and caught a few. But then we wised up and used Machine's method and that's when we started to rack and stack em.
All the brush piles I know of are in 25-30 feet of water. (i am sure you have many more than I do marked on your GPS.) Brush came up to about halfway and I dropped my bait to 15 feet. Lake is super clear. I know you don't like using minnows, but I had best luck with a minnow tipped jig, probably because it is so clear right now.
We also tried fishing at night with lights. And I obviously don't know what I am doing after dark. We stayed out over those same brush piles that produced fish during the day and caught nothing at night. Tons of bait working around the boat but nothing to show for it.

Machine, in your opinion how would Broken Bow lake be as a spot for a Fall Crappie Camp (late Oct to early Nov). If that wouldn't work, how about a Spring camp in late March of early April? What would be best? Thanks for any insight you can provide.
