That was a relaxing visit. Always good to turn down the pace some. Abbey isn't getting any younger.LOL That pic of Billbob with the sunset in the background is a real winner for the calendar Boss. Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. And fish too!!

If these guys are both geezers AND gubers, what would have to be missing to make them just one or the other? In other words, what differentiates a guber from a geezer and vice versa? Great post.

Geezer - old person, or one that acts like one (odd or eccentric)

Guber - yokel, bumpkin, silly person, kindhearted goofball (usually a term of endearment towards someone that acts this way)

So, yeah ... one can be both or either, regardless of age or actions.

Thank you, Pappy. Now I know where I fit into this life. My kids, grandkids, siblings, nephews, nieces, and a number of friends have used those terms to describe me many, many times, although their favorite term is "weird". When a number of 3, 4, or 5 year-old grandkids say: "Grandpa, you're weird!", you kinda think it might be true. And several years ago, one of my daughters got me a nice Father's Day card with hearts and flowers and it said "For a very, very special Father" on the outside. On the inside, it said "Mother says it's better to say special instead of weird".
