Lubbock Tx and Dallas Texas are closing
They are playing games with the mark downs in the stores
If sales are good they ship to restock and drop the 30% down to 20% and shift the same all over the different department
Get your shopping done on the first run of 30% offerings then leave it alone
DO NOT BOTHER even looking at the guns, they are rigged worse then a east coast carnival.
FWIW . . . Cabellas is also still on the market for a buyer
It sucks folks are loosing their jobs but any time an empire falls its for the greater "better"

As for Gander, they don't have plans to operate ANY stores at this point as outdoors/ hunting and fishing stores. The closings you are seeing is direct result from the original closing announcements prior to the bankruptcy auction.

I can't wait for this retail turd to finally close.
The information I passed on here was posted in the American Rifleman several months ago.
It stated the deal had been closed in Oct. for an amount of (as I recall) over 3 billion dollars.

Deal for BP to buy Cabelas was for 5 billion and included Ranger Boats. Also included all of Cabelas' debt of which was an unbelievable couple three billion. Deal is pending. Trouble with Cabelas is some of the stores depending where they are located, sells 7-8 diff boat lines and most all the motor lines also and have a very limited service department with little stock buildup in parts. So if buying a boat off one of the mega stores that has diff lines of boats and motors, you might be waiting in line for service as well as parts.

Ranger boats was a seperate deal. It was purchased by Johnie Morris NOT Bass Pro. There is a difference. He has owned the triton, Stratis, Ranger line for over a year now. My sister is the marketing director and sales manager for the holdings company that sold Ranger to Johnie
