    gpaw, I've heard that the bite shuts down in a falling water situation. Unfortunately, I have no personal experience to either confirm or deny this. So, in short, this post is worth about as much as it cost!

    Slower when falling for sure. Any grassy area close to river channels with night crawlers should work great. We've had great luck north of elk river.

    I work at the dams on grand and hudson. Open more flood gates today. The lake just keeps going up. Tired of the high water and long hours. I am afraid that the spawn is going to be a bust this year. Waiting now for the summer pattern.

    Went to tend some dock lines this weekend and the woman caught a half dozen keeper sized crappie while I was messing with them. Some spawned out females and some males close to the bank. Fish came very slowly with a ton of dinks in between keepers.
