you should come to melvern this week and see how rowdy the Kansas guys are
Caught a monster crappie in 5' of water on a 3/4oz spinnerbait with a 4.5 swimbait on the back of it on Thursday. Always a surprise when one takes a shot at a big bait like that.

Fished Marion County yesterday. Hit a good male up close to shore right at dawn. Black & chart. Charlie Brewer slider. 1/8 oz red roadrunner. Slider a freebee tossed in by Slab with a hat purchase.(Thank's Slab). Only saw a couple others pulled around 1pm. Started picking up a few bites about then in the heated dock. EXTREMELY light bite. Actually had line in hand to feel taps. Saw a feller catch one was the only way we were sure it was crappy. Had to head out about that time so not sure how it went. Looked to be picking up though. Planning on getting the carpet in my boat this week so if the title comes in I can be a little more effective.(Knock wood)
Took a couple young kids fishing Sunday (7 & 9 yrs old) at my neighborhood lake. Fish had been on the banks but had kinda moved off with the weather we had which made the fishing a bit tougher than I was hoping for. Water temps 65.8. The girls caught about 15 or so in 2 hours and lost probably half as many. Good time was had by all and they made it 2 hours which I was impressed with given the slower fishing.
