Merle,6lbtest, Crappie Jinks and I are going to start looking for Crappie today (if I can get all of Merle's snacks in my boat). We did find a great BBQ place in Skiatook yesterday. The minnow place, Mr. Bass, is located in the Sinclair Station on the west side of town at a traffic light. Good supply of minnows and tackle, reasonable price on minnows.....see you folks when you get here......dave

Had a GREAT time at the camp. Putting faces to the names and visiting with such a great bunch of guys was memorable. There was a lot of tasty food, prepared by some top-notch chefs. I especially want to thank Redge for letting me fish out of his boat, Merle for being a friendly boat mate as well as an excellent crappie cooker (just to be clear, not Crappie ciller's crappie cooker), and Shortdraw (Lonnie) for giving me some of his hand pours. I only hope that certain members of my family don't find out that I used Lonnie's BLACK/ORANGE jig and that it netted my largest fish of the day.
Speaking of guides, Redge put us on so many fish, it was hard to believe. The only problem was that he put us on fish that were NOT papermouths. They must have had iron jaws. I think I had somewhere near 102 hits, but only got 12 hookups and put five fish in the livewell. Redge and Merle said that they had never seen so many missed hits, and Redge said that I was using jigs with no hook on the end.
The son-in-law and two of the grandkids came out Saturday evening to visit with the experts and have dinner. Grandson Porkchop must have been off his feed, since there were chocolate chip and cow pie cookies left in the boxes.
Looking forward to the next time we can get together, maybe at the family camp in June.

Had a good time, thanks to everyone for a great camp, special thanks to @davebrown42 and @crappiereaper for getting my boy out on the water despite the wind. We had a great time, definitely made a memory for Eli.

Had a great time with you and Eli! Couldn't help but notice Darby photo bombing Eli and Scarlet Photo bombing them both!
