I personally troll most of the time so I use 1/32s but when I'm casting to the banks my jig of choice would be 1/16 but depending on where their holding I'll use anything from 1/32 to 1/8 never cared for the 1/64, you might as well be fly-fishing with that rig:D
When in doubt, set the hook.

thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.
always ready to go fishing
I doulbe rig 1/32 so in theory it's close to 1/16 but I use the minnow head jigs that are really hevier than round head jigs. The 1/32 is more like a 1/20 based on my scales. And I am sure different molds have different weights also.
1/16 is my favorite , but do use 1/32 also if I want a slow fall. but the larger 1/16 darts a lot better??
1/4 oz here. When spider rigging I use (2) 1/4 oz jigs with 8 lb test to keep the baits down in the strike zone. I got the idea when I watched the side pulling episode on Midwest Crappie with Roger Gant.
Ever since I tried it, I've liked the heavier jigs, plus if I want to go faster while spider rigging, I can.
I use mostly 1/8oz for two reasons. One, thats what most tackle stores in San Diego have and two, I fish in reservoirs where we drift/troll for them in 30-40 feet of water.

1/32 because of the slow drop. Gonna try 1/64 on bluegill this spring.
