Spring camp is the first weekend of May. That would be the best time to show up and get a lot of good information on the lake.

Check the Missouri off topics and you will see the Truman camp Threads. It is held in the Bucksaw area which is a good spot to start fishing. The camp is held at the state camp ground there but bucksaw has a marina and hotel rooms if your not into camping. You will meet a lot of great people there who are will to tell you a lot about how to fish the area. There is a lot of great food there also to top that off.

there are several video's by guides for Truman on Youtube. shows you how to fish the standing timber well with different methods and where to go.
