find the deep brush on main lake points and vertical jig them....straight minnows and hook or small jigs
I'm going to fish Bay springs this weekend for the first time. Wonder if anyone could give me a starting point or some advice. I'm very familiar with the lake. I've boated and fished on it many times but never for crappie. Any advice would be appreciated.

You will find out why it's called the Dead Sea for most if the year.

I've never fished there but I would think that would be a great crappie lake but maybe not.

Bay Springs is always clear Kevin, never saw it dingy but one time and that was up near crow's neck and it took a monsoon of several days to make that happen. It is a tough lake to fish but by no means a dead sea.

Bay Springs has been on fire for 3 weeks now.
It's always one of the first lakes to turn on in early Spring.
It is by no means the dead sea. You just have to learn how and where to fish it like any other lake.
