Was a beautiful morning.
Found Shu in the reeds, of course.
Flycaster was not far behind.
Speckanator playing spiderman.
Then came the event, where CG1 brought the customary 21st anniversary Crappie.com cake.
Phantom and some oh so good shrimp. Yeah you heard me right. Danny gave up a trip to the Keys to bring us a ton of great shrimp. Thanks Danny, you made the day.
Shu seriously frying up some seriously good crappie, also supplied by Danny.
It was a great event. We had some rain come through, but it was minor. Thanks to Danny for the eats, and thanks to my FIL and Flycaster, and the Shumeister for frying it up.
The Detector won a Billbob, signed by Billbob. We were thinking about you buddy. Heal well guber. We missed you.
Our bellies were full while we wrapped it all up.

And Anchorman, sprayed Bubble Gum FLE FLY scent in his mouth, said "it tasted great Micah, you need to try some". Then he read where it said, "Not For Human Consumption". Doh, hope you're OK good buddy.

Good start..... Calm water.... Didn't last long. Turned out to be a tough fishing day.... Still had a great time. Great to meet CDC folks from Missouri and see all our CDC friends. Thanks Ed for throwing the slabfest.... Thanks shu, John, phantom, Ed's fil and Sharon and the ladies for setting the table. Special thanks to Danny for bringing the shrimp and Linda for the CDC cake. It was just like the old days.... Great memories.

Thanks for posting, both of you. I wanted to be among you, it just wasn't to be. Glad all went well and some fish were caught. I'm extra jealous that I missed CG1's cake, it looked wonderful. Some excellent food and better company, the next time I can only hope to attend.

It was good to see everyone again, A big thanks to Slab for hosting the event and to the guys that worked to feed that hungry crowd, Shue, Danny, John and anyone else that helped.Slab that was outstanding what you did for Eileen, she was very happy with it. Until we meet again, stay safe everyone and may God bless you all. We only got to see a few on the water and here they are.
