Any good pictures or videos out their showing how to tie these setups?
The Capps/Coleman rig - weight in middle : (only pay attention to the top line of diagrams on this link)
https://www.google.com/search?q=capp...sKDEp-T_gf1RM:
One diagram also shows the "KY Rig" (along with two other rig versions). A KY Rig does not always have two leader lines coming off the main line ... it can be only one leader line.
Personally, I don't use double rigs. I use one weight, above the hook/bait about 18". They get hung up, tangled up, and stuck in the net often enough (for me) without doubling the possibility.
I like half ounce bell sinker on bottom. Helps pull hook free when hung up. Don't lose half as much stuff . I also use heavier line as most of the time I am fishing 15 to 18 feet deep with this rig on river ledge
I use both, but primarily go with the weight in the middle. I use the weight on the bottom for fishing straight minnows just off the bottom in winter. I catch 90% on the bottom hook/jig regardless of the method it seems.
