Hmmmmm. My Rhodan worked fine today. The 55 lbs thrust was fine for my boat although the shaft is a bit long. I am completely satisfied. The onix showed the bluegill beds and the Rhodan held me in position. Caught about 40 but thew the absolute biggies back!

That's great. Did you mount your transducer on the trolling motor?

Kosmo, no I am happy with my Onix on the transom. I am gonna mount the old hds 5 I inherited from my cousin on front for now. To me the motor case looks identical to the case on my motorguide trolling motor. I wonder if there is only one major maker of trolling motors?

I decided to mount my HDSI transducer on the trolling motor. This is a video of how it works.. https://youtu.be/HYTsjxjiNl8

I noticed you also ran a ground wire to the trolling motor housing ..... was that to correct interference, or just a standard thing you do?

What's with the rubber duckie noise?

That rubber ducky noise is his four legged friend that is hiss fishing partner I think. The install looks good. Where did u get the flex cable if u don't mind me asking?

So far, I've only run 360. I hooked up the HDSI transducer today. Tomorrow will be my first time using sonar. (thought I would run the ground wire while running the transducer cable).

Sounds like a good idea .... learn from experience and try to do it right the first time.

Update on my Rhodan. I've got several hours on it now. I'm very happy with it. There's does seem to be a software were glitch, on occasion, while using the anchor function. While in anchor mold, and using the direction arrows, on the remote. To move the boat, in 5 feet increments. If doing this very rapidly, I've had the Rhodan to sort of (freak out) on more than one occasion. By pushing the manual button then pushing anchor again, seams to fix this issue. Other than this issue. This trolling motor is great.
