Nice catch tap! I too am also glad to see a report from you. I still have yet to catch a fish on cajun cricket (2 inch) but that didn't stop me from picking up a pack of the itty bitty cajun cricket. Think those fish have spawned yet?

It looked like all the crappie I caught were post spawn.

Nice pics and report. What is the size of the egg sinker? Looks heavy...is that because you were fishing deeper brush and trying to stay vertical?

I thinks it's 1/4oz. That is my method for vertical jigging. That day I was in around 20' of water with brush topping out at about 15' and my jig just above it. I will typically cast a pole with a BGBS and leave that other pole hanging over the side but that day in the afternoon they only wanted it dangling in front of their mouth.

I have good luck with that color when the water is dirty, like after rains. Probably not best for clearer water.

Ok, it's not 1/4 but rather 3/4oz. It's been so long since I have made any my memory has failed me. I used to spider rig and made the egg sinkers all the time but after a few trips fishing with fishdoc I am primarily a one pole caster now with one hanging over the side.
