I ain't seen a yeller egg since Easter.
I always use a 3 way. I thought they came untangled easier if they got wrapped up while you were baiting or changing something on the rig...Now that I'm thinking about it I can still get some pretty atrocious tangles even with a swivel. I usually wrap a bunch of wraps around a chair arm or something that gives me the length I need the cut about a dozen or 2 dozen pieces at one time to get a consistent length.

Here's what I make. I used hi vis line to make it stand out. I did have the thought of instead of using the 3 way swivel, use a regular swivel. Tie on about a 5ft length of line. Then about 6" below the swivel, make a 6" loop knot. Cut the bottom of the loop near the knot and that would give me the 1ft leader for top hook. Cutting the bottom and not the top of the loop will make line stand out. Then with the rest of the line, add your weight and bottom hook/jig. I don't use Kentucky rigs.
I use swivels for quick changes of rigs and I use fluorocarbon on my rigs and main line is mono.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
