    I was out with a guide that has drift paddles by power poles on his boat and I can tell you they work excellent. There is way to much physics for me to describe.

    Made out of ABS plastic
    The ones I saw on the PP are like a foam or something and they were bent back from use.
    I have tossed these around and stepped on them with no problems.

    Clever idea. I would have to add linear actuators to those paddles. I ain't no good @ pulling ropes.

    I was going to talk to you about that at the KY camp. But I decided to leave it low tech and keep it low dollar. No wires to connect to a battery no fuses easy on easy off.
