Why would you want to repel a skeeter? I thought those were suppose to be pretty good boats.

Dryer sheets! Yep my wife tried em once on a camping trip. The skeeters took em and gagged her with em so she could not ask for the repel with deet. Skin so soft is great for gnats but seems like marinade for skeeters to me.

I prefer the 100% Deet lotions. That way you can selectively protect exposed skin surfaces. But even more important is to protect yourself from TICKS! Very bad actors. I do a lot of woods roaming during the season, fishing skeeter and tick infested area quite often. Using Deet AND Permethrin on my clothing, protects me from both. Can't remember the last time I had to pull off a tick. And if you use Permethrin, don't forget to treat your socks and sneakers as well as your pants and hats. The treatment last for several washings. It works.

They have a natural repellentthatbugs hate . I saw it in hints from Heloise a few years back. Put one in a shirt pocket so it is half out and tuck one in a hat band. They worked.

Default OK, DEET is the preferred repellent, do you use anything to remove DEET from hands??

I would imagine DEET would leave quite an odor on your hands?? I'm talking about putting DEET on your hands, then rubbing on neck face area's, etc.

What would you use to remove the DEET smell from your hands?

    Thanks
