That sounds like tough fishing EB! What chance would us mere mortals have!! Going to find out after Winter camp.
Ranger and I done a little fishing on a part of Kerr we had not fished before in the winter. We were on the upper end of the lake and ended up catching only 9 keepers. We cast and dragged woodpiles mostly, tried double dippin some places but never caught a fish that way. The main river channel water visibilty was 1-2ft were some of the creeks off the channel were a little murkier around 8 inch. Our best bait was a pump chart mike's custom bait. Out of 9 fish 3 were really nice fish. EB

I told Mark before we launched that it would be "fishing" for them today, not much catching. What does In fisherman say "Crappie are hard to find but easy to catch". I don't care how good a fisherman we think we are, crappie have a way of humbling us. EB
Hoping to go there this Sunday for a little scanning, Anyone else planning to do the same???
Found tons of fish yesterday in main channels. Seriously, I caught fish schooled up in 53 ft of water on jigs. Couldn't find bait or fish anywhere shallower than 30
Went to Kerr yesterday on a hot tip from WSD. Ended up keeping 12 from 1.15-1.65 and had a 2+ come off at the boat. I was double dippin in 5-6 ft most all day. WT was 90, vis was 4-12 inch. When you would feel shad hitting your line you were going to get bit. EB

Hey, Redge. The wife and I are leaving for Montana to do some haying and hauling for my brother. They just started swathing today, about two-three weeks earlier than normal for Montana. We'll be at it for four months. Except for fly fishing the Beaverhead and Big Hole, Clark Canyon, and a bunch of mountain lakes. We'll be thinking of you fishing in 100 degree weather, while we're fishing in 50-80 degree weather. Have a great summer.
BigSky I have spent many years in Colorado haying and fishing. You definitely have an enviable situation!!! Have fun and think of us Okies sweating our hearts out .
