Depends on the body of water as to size & creel limits in KY. Statewide limit is 30/day/person & no size limit, unless special regs apply to that body of water. Redear Sunfish are considered a "sport fish" and have a 20/day/person & no size limit regs on them ... whereas the other "sunfish" (like Bluegill) have no regs.
Most lakes with special regs have a 9" or 10" size limit on Crappie ... and a reduced creel limit (some lakes at 15/day & others at 20/day).

Here in Tenn size limit is 10 inches and can keep 15 fish per day in the eastern part of the state and 30 in the middle to western part. you have to check each reservoir to see what the limit is.

I fish Kentucky lake and Barkley lake on both sides of the Kentucky/Tennessee state line. Kentucky is 10 inch/20 possession limit. Tennessee is 10 inch/30 limit. A point to remember is the location you put out is the limit you are judged by. I.e., put out in Kentucky and run south to big sandy and harvesting a Tennessee legal limit of 30 crappie will be judged as 10 over the limit upon loading the boat back in Kentucky.
