I use a standard "ball" collar jig head with no problems. I don't think you'd be able to use a barb-less head without using super glue to keep the plastic on the jig. BGBS are truly great baits.
For those using Bobby Garland Baby Shad do you use barbed or barbless collars?

I use barbed to hold them on better but they tear up too easily with some of the big barbs they have on them. I am in the process of buying some wire keepers instead of the barb to hold the 2" baby shad. If I don't have any good barbs I use collarless and they last longer. I love me some BG's, all flavors!!!

I use collarless along with a drop of loctite
I used barbed heads also. I trim the barbs a little and then use a dab of super glue. The bodies will last a long time. Or until I bang them up under a dock and have to break them off.
