Saw this o the South Carolina board.
I wonder how it would ok out in Louisiana?
I know some have quit posting reports or quit posting timely reports because of Lurkers who aren't members or never post.
Just wondering..........

I'm not convinced it would work but it couldn't hurt.

Chuter -- Check your PM Box, Please
25 days and 25 3 word posts is easy to get. I don't see much effect in that kind of thread as detailed stuff usually winds up in PM.
I do wonder what makes people vanish here. I wonder if it's lurkers or that they just get real busy with other things.
Lurker......sounds so evil. Few people read forums just to become members...they have a problem or question and while searching for answers they find a forum. Ive admittedly lurked on a few sites for answers to stuff - usually mechanical problems or remedies for this unbearable rash on my....oh never mind.....
I guess the point is people only stick around if they are passionate about the subject of the forum - this case crappie fishing - or if they hit it off with the regular members..unfourtunately not much can be done about those lurkers that swoop in and get all the dirt on our fishin holes and leave. Unless some sort of stipulations are put into place. LIttle different here I think - big difference between somebody getting an answer to a rough shifting transmission.. nobody ever knows any different...and going fishing to find somebody camped out on your brushpile.
Just kiddin about that rash by the way....

I look at this forum a pretty good bit, and i seldom post. I look at it because most of the folks on here know so much about fishing. My grandmother always said , you cant learn anything from somebody dumber than yourself. This site has always welcomed the novice and helped the new comer. If the carolinas are so serious about something that is supposed to be fun , then i think they missed the whole point. Here in Louisiana, we let a person get something off there chest now and then , if they dont go too far. This sport is all about family and fun , and yes at times there may be a person who abuses the situation . But for myself and i believe most folks on this forum , its about being a better fisherman . Passing it on to our children .
