I like the release part also. Last year when we were there, all fish were released and we took ZERO fish home and we had 28 over 2 lbs and Quickhook had that many or more over 2 lbs that he also released. With a fishery like that, I'd like to see a 12 inch limit and 20 fish per day limit to see this lake producing QUALITY fish for years to come...Just my![]()
Can't say enough about the 12" limit........it works!! Monroe had it in the late 90's and after a few years it produced plenty of 16" fish WELL over two pounds.....ask huntinslabs!! Also, I think you'll see bigger fish in Griffin this year because of the 10" limit last year.

Yep! Make thd entire St. Johns river system and all connecting bodies of water a 12" minimum. Why stop there? Make the entire state a 12" minimum. Then increase the non resident liscense fees to $300.00 with a stamp for Crappie, Stripers, Sunshines and Bass that are $5.00each for resident and $100.00each for non resident. Then make sure those funds are distributed to the fisheries they were purchased for so we can get more biologists to get a handle on things.
