in here is what I'm putting in.
The suspense is killing me and the thought of the box sitting here waiting on shoemoo to cough up her address is driving me nuts. I have my stuff selected for the swap, but looking through what is there and been put in an taken out, the choices look to be endless. I hope there will be no time for second guessing because that is whats gonna kill me.

OMG y'all said stuffed but no one mentioned Christmas Turkey!

anyhow, when I dumped the box on kitchen table knocked my camera off onto floor and now it wont work.

So put together a little spread sheet of what is there and what I took and estimated value of the stuff and made a packing slip.

    Here is the contents
CDC Swap October 2014 Packing Slip
    received plus my additions
    Description Quantity Est Value Value
    Carded/Bagged Chenille 112 1 $112.00
    Weighted Crappie Rigs 4 4 $16.00
    Crappie Spreaders 5 1 $5.00
    Bagged Fur 20 2 $40.00
    Bagged Jigs 28 2 $56.00
    Powder 3 4 $12.00
    Packs of hooks 3 5 $15.00
    packs glitter 4 1 $4.00
    mixing cups 100 0.1 $10.00
    5ml pipettes 6 0.25 $1.50
    tapping Brushes 3 1 $3.00
    Fancy Bobber 1 3 $3.00
    Rubber Legs Material 1 3 $3.00
    Spoon Blanks 30 0.5 $15.00
    RTG Baits 15 1 $15.00
    Sleeves Flash 6 2 $12.00
    Plastics bagged 19 3 $57.00
    Spools thread 20 1 $20.00
    Dubbing Wax 1 1 $1.00
    Feathers bagged 28 2 $56.00
    $456.50

    What I took
    3 turkey feathers
    1 bag 2 colors PC
    1 tube PC
    1 bag gray feathers
    1 card white chenille

    What I added
    100 mixing cups
    6 5ml transfer pipettes
    100 1.5x2 zip lock bags
    bag roseys brown powder
bag roseys old adv blue pc
4 myo pony head kits, jigs, rings, blades
    3 tapping brushes for pc
Bag 1 dozen 1/16 minnow heads
Bag 1 dozen 1/16 shad dart
    Bag 3/0 long eye hooks

Will take it to PO in the AM and report tracking #. BTW, I cleaned and condensed a bit, took out a bunch of 1 gallon zip lock bags and repackaged in small bags where appropriate. Made enough room so box no longer looks like a football. There is enough stuff in there to start another swap as well as run round 2. Shipping is gonna be 17.90 and I'm gonna add the extra insurance to make it $450. The only issue is packages over $200 require a signature which will most likely mean Shoemoo will need to go to post office to get the package. We have several hours before I make the postal run so if I should change anything, let me know.

Glad you found some goodies - thanks for the inventory and estimates but don't know if it would do any good if lost. Last I heard on the other board is that they got a sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused. The pics of stuff helped but they had no receipts for items - well there wouldn't be as it's a swap box. So far here it's been going pretty good. IMO I wouldn't spend the extra for insurance based on the above. I know if I had to sign for the box it could be delayed for a few days based on work schedule, the 2 day Priority Mail has been working pretty good, so if you don't want to spend the extra don't. For anyone who didn't see it there's a sign up for Round 2.

That was me on the other board. Other than a few appologetic phone calls nothing came of it wgich as my BIL predicted is exactly what would happen. Making a claim, even with pictures and a list of items did no good. This time around, we have an inner liner which should help if package gets broken open. I will discuss insurance and claims with post master in the morning but based on my experience with both UPS and USPS feel that once lost you are SOL. However, with a P/S and actual contents it may make the claims process better I just hope that with the added precautions there will not be a problem,

Basically, insurance was gonna be an extra $8.60 so I passed on it. The Postmistress explained to me that the prior claim should have been done online. I was dealing with a different postal station and filled out the forms they gave me etc etc but she said they havent done it that way in years. I still have the tracking info and told her that and she looked and found that a claim had been filed but since package was delivered and nothing was found during their trace, claim was denied.

    I sent Fatman the tracking # but here it is again USPS Tracking #: 9114 9012 3080 3923 5362 81 estimated delivery 10/25/14
