Thread: Crappie Camp on Lake Conway?

Yep Conway will heat up soon!

I would join a fall camp as long as I could follow Russ around for some teaching.

Spend enough time on the water and most guys will catch fish. Most guys don't realize the guys that catch fish regularly have spent thousands of hours perfecting skills and learning their home waters.

Glad I never catch any fish. I am still trying to get my time in before I start catching.

That ain't no goofy smile, that's a "crappie smirk". You can only do a crappie smirk if you can catch fish out of Conway. I've crappie fished Conway many times and I've never had a crappie smirk when I got finished.

I'm up for a Conway camp. I have an inside track on a really nice place to stay on the lake down toward Mayflower. Happens to be directly across the lake from the AGFC stuff that got blown away. We could have a big fish contest and a shoot em up contest over at the range. A next Fall Fishing poles and Firearms camp may be the ticket. Fry up a mess of fresh crappie and skeets.

Never fished Greers. Always wanted to. Heard there may be a walleye there.

To me getting around from one area to another is more problem than catching fish! !!!!!

I you don't know the lake, the key is slow and steady. I see guys with $50,000 bass boats flying around the lake. I don't personally recommend doing that it a glass boat, but it's really not a problem in an aluminum boat. You just have to take your time and not get into a big hurry.
