Don't know where they are made, but they are Tru Turn or that was the original company, but added others brands too. Also the US Army selected Tru Turn as the hooks in their survival fishing kits. Here is an article about that and some other interesting info.
    TTI-Companies, Fishing is our life! - Tru-Turn

They added other hook brands at some point...Daiichi, XPoint, StandOUT, Mr Crappie, Team Catfish hook brands. The Blakemore Lure Company was purchased in 2004 adding the famous Road Runner and Real Magic products to the line up.

That's about all I know, LOL!

Don't forget to re-tie after so many fish. If you catch a good size fish and it puts up a pretty good fight then re-tie afterwards. A lot of people think the line it too small to catch a good size fish but it is usually line fatigue that is the cause of losing a good size fish, so re-tie often. After I catch a good size fish that puts up a good fight I will cut off at least a couple of feet of line. If I am fishing a brush pile I will check the line frequently to make sure there isn't any knicks in the line. We tend to forget to check when the fish are really biting and the acting is fast and furious, but that is when you will lose a big fish. EB

My vote would go to the Roadrunner. I've just personally had more success with it, over the other "style or brand" of baits shown.

And to answer your other question, about "plastic lures" ... Stinger Shad style bodies, whether manufactured by a company or molded by our DIY members, have proven to be one of, if not the most productive plastic bait body style. Second to that, IMHO, would be the paddle tail body style ... like the Charlie Brewer Slider grubs.

All will catch fish, but depth and speed are more important than the bait itself. The best bait in the world presented at the wrong depth and wrong speed is worthless.

Well I can tell you they work. I order some slab slobber and rubbed some on the lures. Great great product. Here's what I caught today.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411343699.769131.jpg
