Liking it. Just to clarify, you'll be listing the mold or the plastic for sale?
after about six years now we've had these molds and they are all 12 cavities they are from Jacob these were specially made for me we will list some of these on our website into colors the picture is a little dusty because I laid it on my dirty bench next to where I was working so pay no attention to the sawdust after reinventing the mold works fine now.
I don't believe that Rick is making these molds anymore.

What problems were You having with the molds and what did You do to fix them? Those are some cool looking baits.

the problem was we were only getting half of the body of the plastic bait. there was not enough venting in the mold so I decided to cut grooves to let the air a escape sold the plastic would fill up the cavities.
you should go back to your mold maker if you are having these problems I don't recommend chopping up your molds.

I do a lot of minor venting in molds. I have a set of jeweler's files, several of which have very thin sharp edges that are perfect for cutting in vents. I'd agree with Bob that if a mold has major issues it should go back to the make to get them corrected, but most often a little touch up here or there will resolve the issues. Sometimes just changing the plastic from soft to medium, or vice-versa, will get the job done. Rick makes quality products and only one of his molds that I own has needed some real minute dinging with a file. I have one from BassTackle that deals me fits when the mold gets warmed up and only then. I have added and increased venting on that sucker several different times but now just deal with it. I change from medium to soft plastic when the mold gets into it's mood.

I agree with ctom sometimes heating up the molds will help as I do have an issue with another mold maker and we have to heat those molds up to about 250° to get them to shoot right but I've only had two molds out over 100 that we are having issues with one is by Jacob a note here Rick worked very hard with me on this mold so don't get me wrong on a beautiful maiden mold by Rick we highly recommend his molds. the other mold was by Lakeside this was a custom-built mold and we were having the same issues with it but by heating this mold up to 250 problem was solved due to the fact that the cavities in the protruding legs were very thin so it needed a hot mold in a very soft plastic to make it work right but I stand behind Jacob in Lakeside they are very good mold makers both of these guys have made custom-made molds for me and a course on Jacob I have designed a few of the molds on their.
here is another plastic bait from the mold that we were having problems with it you can see they come out beautiful.

i love the color on that last one. I remember when you got those molds
the problems with the mold Was not the venting anyway I'm sorry to bring this old post on the mothballs but the airflow was going the opposite direction in the mold instead of shooting directly into the main intake I turn the mold upside down in shot through where the skirt would be problem solved all the air escape beautiful I just wanted to go on a little bit more detail. if the cavities for I should say the intake was reversed it would work fine.
