Fished Blackwell yesterday morning on the outside of the fishing dock, the inside was already full by 645am. The bite started around 7am. I was using a Scent Wiggler from Bobby Garland in the Sunrise color and changing bottom jig from Blue Ice, Purple Mist and a green baby shad. I was using SlabSlobber on all jigs, but the Sunrise did the best. I had to go all the way to the bottom and then reel up one full crank to find my fish.

After SC's reports all last week, a buddy and I headed down there Saturday. Got there about noon had to figure out what the presentation and color was. That took about 3 minutes! didn't count how many we threw back but came home with 57. Best day of fishing I've had in a while. Josh showed up about 1:30 ish. Since he already knew what they wanted it didn't take him long to get going. Fished side by side with him and just had a good time catching and visiting. We were fishing rod tip to rod tip and still knocked em out, when a stranger neither of us knew walked right in between us and was going to fish OVER us! Tell you what that boy just about found himself in the drink! Here's a pic of our harvest.

DrNip....it can get crowded if you fish the community piles or the visible structure. Put your time in on the water with your fishfinder and you can find a lot of piles that very few know of. Maybe even drop a pile or twelve of your own to ensure you have a place to go. Just make sure to tell me where so I can let you know if that was a good spot to put them. You can find HUGE schools of crappie in that lake. We have caught and kept 111 fish out of a school before and it doesnt even looked like we caught a fish from it.
