I really like the grey stone. That is sharp.

    Hey Pepop!
Just today I received two jars of "Clear" so I can try some of these recipes.
Your photo of "Gray Stone" just blew me away and that is the first one I tried.
Sadly, mine did not turn out like yours... almost no black mottling, just a very nice "gray" - -
which I can use, don't get me wrong.
After combining the three ingredients, I made sure to shake-and-roll the jar even more than I do
a new color shipped to me.
I know that you use Rosey's colors - - is that Sky White different than Pro Tech's White?
    Maybe that is the problem.
I think I will add a bit more Black to my mix and try again...

    What do you think?

    UPDATE -

After that previous post, something went-off in my brain . . .
I realized that your photo was VERY large, so I looked at my heads again under a magnifying glass
    and guess what?
The black mottling is there, just more subtle than yours.

Yeah Afterdark, I enlarged it to show the detail. Jig in hand it's visible but not that pronounced. Glad it worked for you.

Can I ask what is probably a dumb question to you guys but been wondering. In most of the custom mixes you folks do you add clear, does that change-enhance the colors or is it just used as a filler? Thanks.

Cray, I have wondered about that myself, and actually still wondering. The clear seems to have
a bit of a "glitter" effect to it, other than that I don't know.

I haven't been mixing for a long time but I've picked the brain of a few that have and the use of clear does 2 things. It stretches your color out considerably as I will usually take newly purchased powder and mix it in a jar 1 to 1 thereby doubling the original. The second thing it does is add depth to the original. By that I mean the incorporating a high gloss but totally transparent powder gives the original an added gloss it didn't have to start with. An example, I took my Matte Black (80% gloss) and doubled it with my 120% gloss clear and now my black has a real nice shine to it and it's still just as black
Thanks Pondfisher42 thanked you for this post
