I bought my dad the 9 inch one for Christmas. That thing is huge. He has been wanting a stiff one and thats the only size its offered in. Its a little on the big size for cleaning crappie imo. Stiff fillet knives seem to be hard to come across

I don't know electrics hard to beat. They look like something Rambo would use! Think I'll wait for some more reviews before I spend the money
ehall LIKED above post
I saw a commercial for them on TV yesterday. Looks like if you are filleting 13" or bigger fish and all you care about is speed it might be ok. Sure looked to me like he was wasting meat for the sake of speed.

didn't care for it. But does go thru rib bones on larger crappie pretty easy. But for normal eatin size crappie, I personally prefer electric. I think I got more meat from my 10-11" fish with the Mr. Twister, than I got from a 14"er with their knife. And smaller fish seemed like I tore them up more. Not impressed.
they make it look easy .
retired and now i will always fish
Having just enough arthritis to be aggravating I'm going to pass. It has to take quite a bit of effort to get through those bones. I'll stick with what I know til I can try one first that someone else owns before I'll bite.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I can't say how they are cleaning fish, but I sliced a ton of brisket at my buddies BBQ shop with one and it worked very well. I would think the blade would be a little stiff to clean smaller crappie, but I'm sure it could be done. I think I will stay with my electric.
I like mine pretty good. Works better when the fish is really cold.
