I think ill just keep watching for the birds walking on the grass beds. lol
You could look at this way, with a smaller/cheaper boat, you now have money to put all the “extra” stuff on it!
    Drinkin coffee, missin fish.

Well actually i have several boats.
And i guess i could sell them and buy just one that would be better suited for the type of fishing that seems to be becoming very popular.
But that would also mean that i could no longer fish the type of places i can fish now.
I sorta like being all alone, meaning no other boats around, especially the high horse power ones with all the decals. lol
And its not like im not catching any fish either.
I know the few places i fish well enough, that i can bounce around and pick up a few of them, even on bad days.
Im never on the water before about 11 AM, and im always loading my boat before 5 PM.
So i miss the best hours of the day every time i go, but thats OK by me at least.
Im just very greatfull that i can be there at all at my age.
Since Oct 22 when i took my first trip this year after my long summer layover, ive made 34 trips, all to the same place.
The most recent was this past Monday, also my worst as for fish count so far.
Very warm and very windy, causing me to leave even earlier.
And my total count for just Crappies is 614 fish, all released.
All on jigs, no minnows, and very few caught by trolling for them.
So tell me again why i need livescope and boat brakes. lol

No one ever said you need livescope or ceappie brakes, its a free country.Everyones different, free to do what you want.Im just trying to advertise for my buddy thats one of the nicest greatest people you will ever meet.He just quit his regular job and is remodeling a store and going full time selling boat electronics and accessorys. His crappie brake setups are probally cheaper than anyone else that sells these kits.If you ever did need anything he will treat you right no matter how you fish, performance fishing electronics camden tn.

Well thats nice, and i do wish him well with his new venture.
Crappie fishing videos have become very popular on Youtube as most of us know.
And i have a few favorites that i enjoy watching.
Im not impressed with the watch me catch another fish type videos, and there are of coarse lots of them.
The ones that offer information as to how they are doing it, is what brings me back.
Lately quite a few have begun to use livescope.
Im not about to sit watching somebody staring at a screen while coaxing a fish to take his jig.
But as youve said, not all of us think the same.

Recently moved to the trolling motor shaft . To many stumps to dodge with two things . Open water was fine, deep trees no . JMO.Name: 20220304_104254.jpg

I built boat breaks for my pondtoon years back. I could steer it 360 degrees. Made from MK 30#. I used a MK power drive to steer it and built a lift to raise and lower with a vending machine motor and a pully. I used the motor as a thruster motor. Helped steering in the wind while trolling too. I built wireless control for steering and motor off/on. Fun project. Most parts were given to me by C.COM MEMBERS. They the greatest.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE SALES JAMEY. SEVERAL SMALL COMPANIES ARE MAKING THEIR VERSION OF THE BOAT BRAKES.

I AM LOOKING INTO WATER JET THRUSTERS FOR BETTER BOAT CONTROL. ALWAYS SOMETHING TO EXPLORE.v
